A’JaeCea Carlie (JC) is a photographer and sculptor located in Los Angeles California. Their work centers nature, queer trans disabled experience, and critical studies via the exploration and parallels between land, body, water, pollution, and more than human species as a way to investigate destruction, recovery and alternative ways of being. Their research based practice is informed by biomaterials science, embodied experience, socio-cultural norms, and politics. Expanding on the lineages of deconstruction art, assemblage, and speculative futurism.
